Plastic Machining - cutting
Plastics machining is a combination of different types of machining in plastic materials.
The methods of machining plastics are similar to those of metals machining, and the most common methods are turning and milling. This is usually performed when manufacturing low volumes or when fine tolerances are required. Otherwise moulding is common for larger volumes.
There are plastic materials with many different properties. There have different appearances, electrical conductivity, hardness and resistance to heat and organic solvents.
