Strip forming

 Strip forming is a method to form and machine strip metal pieces.

The machining and forming is very similar to wire forming, and usually includes bending, welding and cutting. The bending is especially characteristic for strip forming and it is often quite complex. In workshops that do strip forming there are usually strip forming machines, which do almost all processes. Then there is usually no need for further manufacturing, except for subsequent treatment.
