CONSOL s.r.l. was founded in June 2007, with five employees and a production area of 1,100 square metres, to serve manufacturers of machinery in the agriculture-food business district of Canelli and Santo Stefano Belbo. The first years of life were crucial not only to learn the needs of the relative industry but also to meet new companies with which to build up a relationship of cooperation outside the territory. In this way the company began growing, both in terms of volume and of corporate culture, every day comparing itself with its major industrial partners and imbuing concepts such as quality, streamlined manufacturing and continuous improvement. In summer 2012 the production area doubled, to 2,300 square metres, of which half given over to laser cutting and bending, and the remaining part to carpentry and assembly. In 2013 the introduction of a new management system offered the chance to create a true and proper technical and commercial department capable of drawing up detailed estimates and of providing the customer with assistance right up to after-sales services. In the summer of 2014 Consol saw two new installations come into operation: a laser with a 4000x2000mm cutting table and an automated system to load/unload sheets for the existing laser machine (with a 300 x1500mm table). The following year, instead, saw the installation of a grinder to eliminate rough edges automatically. At the beginning of 2016 the staff numbered thirty while the bending-press department was enlarged: June saw the introduction of a third bender press – a 250-tonnes, 4200mm table, integrated, also at the software level, with the entire production system.
